Melissa
Program Facilitator
Originally from South Africa, Melissa moved to Williams Lake 24 years ago, where she and her husband have raised three boys surrounded by the natural beauty of the Cariboo.
With over 40 years of experience working with children, Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and care to her role at Wild & Immersive. Her background includes serving as Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters in Williams Lake and teaching ballet, experiences that shape her thoughtful, supportive approach to guiding children as they learn and grow outdoors.
Chad
Program Facilitator
After completing a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance, Chad began his career in education as a music teacher. His previous work as a chef led him to organic farming, where he and his wife are now co-owners and operators of Deer Forest Farm.
Balancing life managing an organic market farm and raising a family, Chad brings a deep appreciation for creativity, nature, and hands-on learning to Wild & Immersive. He is excited to support children as they explore the outdoors, build practical skills, and develop a meaningful connection with the natural world.
